Position Summary: Clinical Professional will conduct assessments for incoming clients in our various programs; such as, substance use disorders, Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) measurements. Become trained to conduct domestic violence assessments. The assessments counselor performs all aspects of assessment duties including handling of inquiry calls; providing program information to individuals, agencies, and professionals; assessing individual’s current status and making recommendations for improvement or admission; completing all admission requirements; advising the clients; keeping updated on new developments in the area of operations and performing other tasks as required.
Essential Functions:
1. Conduct bio/psycho/social assessments for incoming clients in our various programs; such as, substance use disorders, Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) measurements.
2. Conduct domestic violence assessments.
3. Assist with completion of all documentation required for Intake.
4. Review client records.
5. Update client records and information.
6. Assist staff in providing treatment services prior to or following assessments.
7. May consult or interview family members as well as other community members in order to arrange patient assessments.
8. Assist in other duties assigned by agency Director/Program Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) LCDC II/III/LICDC, LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC.
2. Experience in conducting bio/psycho/social assessments and where applicable, knowledge of SUD diagnosis/codes.
3. Personal characteristics of maturity and professionalism with a sincere desire to work with the SUD/DV population and to gain understanding of the importance of the impact on themselves, victims, and community.
4. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
5. Strong verbal communication skills and documentation skills (progress, etc.)
6. Proficient in use of personal computer and related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Telehealth Services) use of office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, printer).
Position Summary: The Peer Support Specialist will assist client who have a substance use diagnosis more fully integrate into their communities. The Peer Specialist will assist in promoting wellness, relapse prevention, independent living, self-direction and decreasing the need for treatment. This is to be accomplished by offering social and emotional support and education in an array of individualized services.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop rapport and engage in a positive, supportive relationship, demonstrating and inspiring hope, trust, and an optimistic outlook, by in-person interactions with clients.
2. Encourage clients to actively work on his/her recovery by learning to make healthy choices and engage in healthy activities.
3. Prepare for and facilitate groups by guiding clients in a healthy and focused discussion to address topic areas.
4. Identify VSN program needs by brainstorming with clients and staff to identify resources needed for program implementation.
5. Advocate for clients to receive beneficial services/supports for which they are eligible.
6. Share lived experiences with stakeholders, partners, peers, staff, and vested parties to show that recovery is possible.
7. Document services in line with agency protocol.
8. Adhere to Ohio Peer Support Code of Ethics.9. Various duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Certified Peer Support Specialist or agreement to become certified during probationary period.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Is successfully managing own personal recovery.
4. Have personal relevant treatment service experience.
5. Well-versed with the behavioral health service system, and with other community-based services and organizations.
6. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in written form.
7. Ability to represent strengths and needs of clients in clinical settings.
8. Knowledge of resiliency and recovery principles and tools such as wellness recovery action plans, wrap-around process, and systems of care.

Batterers Intervention Program Group Facilitator
Position Summary: Clinical professional will work with our Batterers Intervention clients in a welcoming, empathic, hopeful attitude towards domestic violence offenders and supports a philosophy of recovery and equality. Engages and welcomes clients in ways that will convey respect for diversity in a culturally appropriate way. Demonstrates high professional/ethical standards and works well with others as part of the treatment team. Understanding of the population and provides the offender the tools for low-risk of reoffending.
Essential Functions:
1. Facilitates a comprehensive clinical Batterers Intervention Group based on client competencies, stages of change modules, power and control wheel, and equality wheel.
2. Educate offenders in reducing the chance to reoffend and to modify behaviors with the intent to prevent reoffending.
3. Completes day-to-day services documentation as required by funders, accreditation bodies, and Vision Support Network Counseling Center-Batterers Intervention Program.
4. Provides regular updates to referral sources on progress, lack of progress, attendance and treatment outcomes: this is to include probation/parole authorities.
5. Educate clients to modify behaviors with the intention of full recovery to prevent relapses.
6. Participate in staff meetings,*trainings, webinars/seminars as needed to as enhance your knowledge, broaden your horizon and obtain continued education. *VSN/BIP requires all applicants to attend 10 hours of trainings annually. Six of those hours must be domestic violence related, while the other three can be of applicant’s choosing. These will be due yearly on original date of hire.
7. Performs other duties as assigned to promote the overall mission and vision of VSN/BIP.
Minimum Qualifications:

2. Knowledge of Domestic Violence and characteristics of DV offenders and their victims.
3. Personal characteristics of maturity and professionalism with a sincere desire to work with the DV population and to gain understanding of the importance of DV impact on their victim and community.

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator provides clinical support to specific program areas. Provides supervision and guidance to staff through the daily operation of the program. Coordinates all activities of the program and assists the Program Director in other assigned duties.
Essential Functions: Essential functions and duties, are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The Program Coordinator performs an integral role in carrying out the mission of Vision Support Network Counseling Center by performing the following duties:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program. Plans and organizes the implementation of services relating to all programs. Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operations.
- Provides direct line clinical supervision of the program and staff. Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards, and conducting performance reviews of subordinates.
- Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards. Trains staff in appropriate documentation and record keeping. Monitors the need for professional development of staff.
- Clear understanding of ASAM LOC.
- May provide direct services as necessary, including group and individual therapy and case management services.
- Covers duties of any absent employee; schedules replacement or personally performs duties in order to ensure continuity of care.
- Oversees program operations and quality improvement for The Batterers Intervention Program.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Knowledge of chemical dependency, clinical practice and performance.
- Knowledge of federal laws and state laws, public and private resources pertaining to alcohol and drug counseling and rehabilitation services.
- Ability in the art of effective communication, documentation, interpersonal skills and decision making.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with federal, state, regional and local agencies, community leaders, and the general public.
- Ability to effectively provide supervision and guidance to program staff members and to motivate and train employees.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- LCDC III, LSW, LPC, or higher credentials.
- Ability and knowledge of LOC’s/treatment plans and SUD’s.
- Knowledge of alcoholism and other addictions preferred.
- Knowledge of Domestic Violence (batterer/victim).
- Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Stays up to date with credentials and trainings.
